The first day of April is embraced by many as their opportunity to have a bit of good-hearted fun at someone else's expense. See how some of your coworkers decided to give someone a little ribbing just for a laugh...
Pam Dodge (ED) shared a quick story from a few years ago…”In 2018, April Fools’ Day landed on Easter Sunday, so my husband had this great idea for our grandson’s egg hunt. We tied a string to an egg and pulled on it when my grandson went for the egg. Needless to say, the grown-ups had a much bigger laugh than the little ones!”
Christa Gobbi (Finance) loves to play pranks on her coworkers. Christa’s fun seems to embrace her friend’s craving for sugar. She shared a few of her tricks from years past:
- Everyone loves a box of See’s Candies, right? One year, I placed a candy box on the counter. Inside, each candy was replaced with rocks! Don't worry, I was sure to leave a note reminding everyone of my prank, shared on my favorite day!
- Here’s another favorite of mine, place box of from Krispy Kreme Donuts on the counter. Take out the goodies and fill the box with carrots and celery.
- One year I had extra time and made paper doughnuts.
I’m not sure what I have in store for my co-workers this year but, they say they are ready for my tricks, so I need to up my game!
Trent Johnson (EU) loves family traditions. He shared with us how he pranked his son Tanner. As fate would have it, Trent drives a motorcycle. His son drives a pickup truck. ”There is something really sweet and special about this day, passing on family traditions. I used my wife’s phone to text our 16-year old son Tanner, who was at his friend’s house. Now, THIS was good family fun!"
Happy April Fools' Day, everyone!
