Contact tracing training

Updated June 22, 2020

To promote the health and safety of the City workforce, the City Human Resources and Risk Management staff will conduct contact tracing at any time we are made aware that a member of our workforce has tested positive for COVID-19.

Contract tracing is the process of confidentially identifying employees who may have come into contact with a COVID-19 infected person ("contacts") and subsequent collection of further information about these contacts for purposes of notification. By tracing the contacts of infected individuals, encouraging testing and treatment for infection, and tracing their contacts in turn, we aim to reduce infections in the City workforce.

Human Resources will only contact other City employees who may have come into contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19.  Human Resources will keep employee information confidential and shared with only those who need to know in order to properly sanitize the work environment and monitor for possible exposures.

You will be required to complete a training in RoseU, acknowledging that you understand the process of contact tracing, and how the City will follow the procedure to help keep our workforce safe. We expect the training to take less than 15 minutes to complete, as such, it will be due in 30 days.

The Police Department and Fire First Responders have plans specific to their departments.

Remember, if you are sick, please stay home.  Staying home helps keep you, your friends, your family, your neighbors, and your coworkers safe!
