In preparation for Open Enrollment, here are few things to keep in mind:
- Start researching the CalPERS Health Plans today! If you are thinking about changing plans, use the CalPERS Health Plan Chooser and Doctor Finder to determine if your selected physician is in the network. CalPERS will be mailing packets to current health plan subscribers in August.
- Information regarding all plans, including Health Plan Rates and City contributions amounts, are posted on the City’s intranet under Human Resources, Open Enrollment.
- Open Enrollment forms will be sent to employees at their work locations during the week of September 10th.
To ensure timely processing of your benefit changes, Open Enrollment forms must be submitted to Human Resources by 5 p.m., Friday, October 5. All forms should be returned to Human Resources even those with no benefits changes.
- Mark your calendar for the Employee Benefits Fair. This is a great opportunity to meet with the various health plans! This year’s Benefits Fair will take place from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, September 20 at the Corporation Yard.
