Kelsey Myers and Jennifer Low look like two peas in a pod. Both have huge smiles, and both work the same position for PR&L - Kelsey at the Roseville Sports Center and Jennifer at the Maidu Community Center.
Is it any surprise that they both started with the City four weeks ago on the same day? During one of their orientation meetings, they decided to steal a few minutes to take the
Fall Friendzy Challenge.
So they sat down and chatted. There, they laughed and discovered that they share a love for Disneyland. It was the Fall Friendzy that helped fuel this friendship.
“I like the program because it’s a bit intentional,” said Jennifer Low. “It provides a space where you get to meet someone. As a new employee, it’s nice to see Roseville commit to employee engagement.”
Jennifer added that “It was really nice getting to know Kelsey outside of the tasks and meetings and trainings that we’ve all be in.” From her point of view, the people who work for the City look to be a pretty close group. “I get the sense that that everyone who works for the City is a really big family. It really looks like the people really enjoy their work and the people that they get to work with every day.”
Jennifer and Kelsey completed the Fall Friendzy Challenge and filled out the entry form. In our random drawing of entrants, Jennifer was selected to win a gift card to Bloom Coffee and Tea.
When you speak with her, she strikes you like a social butterfly; it sounds as if her interactions with people are as diverse as her orders from coffees shops. “It all depends on where I might be,” Jennifer tells us. “My Dutch Brother’s order is different than my Starbucks order. It all depends on the day and time and the season.”
The two are a bit closer now having spent a few minutes chatting, getting to know each other. Enter the
