When it comes to providing service, the crew in the Permit Center pulls out all the stops. They celebrated Customer Service Week by preparing nachos for anyone who stopped by their office on Tuesday. Their staffers got into the festive mood by decorating the Permit Center with balloons and banners for the event.
Employees from all around the Civic Center gathered to mix and mingle, enjoyed a bowl of chips, salsa, and cheese while they chatted.
This fun feast has been an annual event since the Permit Center opened in 2001. It’s an ideal opportunity for the Permit crew to say, “Thank you!”
Permit Center Supervisor Christine Herron (below, in the blue shirt) said that “It’s a great team-building activity, and everybody loves it!” Unfortunately, this will be the last year that Christine is at the head of the crew for this activity. She’s retiring, having been with the City for 19 years. Christine ready to pass on her torch and the nachos to her crew. With a laugh, she told us, “They are ready. They’re nacho ready!”
