Remembering an iconic moment in history
This Saturday, July 20 marks the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong being the first man to step onto the surface of the Moon. In 1969, the spacecraft’s lunar module successfully landed in the Sea of Tranquility (Mare Tranquillitatis), defining man’s ability to overcome enormous technical challenges. It was an amazing accomplishment. Three men had traveled to the Moon atop a rocket that contained less technology than an average mobile phone built today.

Where were you?

So we’d like to ask…where were you at the moment when Man first stepped onto the Moon? Please fill out the questions in this survey by 5 p.m. this Wednesday, July 17. We’ll gather your answers and post them here on the HUB.

To those who witnessed the live TV coverage of the landing, there’s a good chance this event is burned into your memory. This was a significant moment in the history of Mankind, witnessed by hundreds of millions of people around the planet.
