Tremendous teamwork facilitated a great Employee Luncheon in May. Our gathering was originally scheduled to be held outside at the Corporation Yard, but Mother Nature had other plans. We found ourselves soaking from heavy spring rains.
The luncheon is the City's way of saying "thank you to everyone for being such a great team - come rain or shine!"
At the last moment, the Employee Recognition Committee scrambled to move the entire gathering
inside at the Maidu Community Center because of the weather. Those last minute changes included moving the entire event, the food trucks, coordinating transportation from other City sites, communicating the changes to everyone, and just getting everything together.
Kudos to everyone for their flexibility for moving to the new location.
We want to add an additional kudos to the crews at Parks and Recreation for their help in the last minute re-location and setup. Shoutouts go to Elllen Worland, Kathy Barsotti, Chris Pelzman, John Brabo, Patrick Daly and the rest of their teams. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as you enjoyed lunch!
