A critical function for the City is to make sure that all of its drivers and large vehicles are all compliant to the various laws and regulations created for everyone’s safety, both employees and the public. In an effort to reach that goal, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be providing a refresher class for City employees who carry a CA Commercial Driver’s License. This CHP course is a continuous educational program designed to provide information and safety awareness to everyone operating commercial vehicles.
The focus of the class is vehicle pre-trip inspections. What is this function, why are these inspections so important, and who needs to perform these tasks?
The class will be offered February 20, 2019, at Corp Yard meeting rooms 2 and 3. Attendance for this class is not mandatory, however, we encourage you to attend if your scheduling allows you to do so. To register for this class, sign up on Target Solutions/Rose U under My Events.
