2018 Employee Photo Contest results
We asked our employees to share their favorite images from their summer vacations. The photos have been submitted and the judging is complete. We’re here to share the five photos which were selected from among this year’s entries. Each photo presents a unique moment in time, story, or perspective. The judges were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and diversity of all the entries.

The judges huddled around their computers to select their favorite images. The single image that ranked highest on a point scale was chosen as the winner of this year’s contest. That staffer will receive an amazing HUB t-shirt and a year’s worth of bragging rights!

We received 55 entries that were recorded in 10 different countries. The judges have noted a few honorable mentions that we want to share with everyone. We thank everyone who participated for sharing your adventures and these moments from your travels!

We’ll reveal the selections in reverse order:

5) “Inside of the La Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona, Spain” This image was created by Sean Bigley (EU).

4) “Yellow Boat in Fog” was created by Renee Laffey (Roseville Electric). She tells us that “my husband and I enjoyed 7 wonderful foggy days in Bandon, Oregon. Every night we walked in the mist and joked we hadn’t seen the sun in days. Meanwhile back in Roseville the sun and smoke were terrible. On our last day of vacation in Bandon, the sun came out (LOL) in the form of a yellow boat.”

3) “Slackline walking” by Jordan Mahallati (PR&L) Jordan tells us that “I recently found out from my mother that my Grandpa dropped out of high school and ran away with the circus where he became a trapeze artist! I had no idea until I started posting pictures of my slacklining adventures and my mom told me this story. I am guessing she never told me the story when I was a child so she wouldn’t have to worry about me running away to the circus!”
