Shine daylight on fire safety
Daylight Savings Time starts at 2 a.m., this Sunday, March 8. Turn your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed on Saturday. Unfortunately, we lose an hour of sleep, but we get to enjoy another hour of sunlight every day!

Take this opportunity as you “Spring Forward” on your clocks, to also do your monthly check of your fire and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home.

Fire Alarms Message

According to CAL FIRE, approximately two-thirds of home fire deaths occur in homes without working smoke alarms. Since most fatal fires occur at night, it’s essential that every home has working smoke alarms to provide an early warning. Working smoke alarms increase the chance of surviving a home fire by 50 percent.

In January 2018, a Roseville family was alerted by active smoke alarms in their home. The family was able to safely leave the residence. The home was destroyed by the fire.
