Teamwork brings new utility billing platform to life
It took almost three years to replace the City’s aging 20-year-old billing system. The project’s complexity required the dedicated work of the Electric, Information Technology, Environmental Utilities, and Finance departments.

“The customers that we’re talking to are very happy with the change,” said Billing Services Manager Andrea Blomquist. “We’ve had a lot of people reach out to us; they’re already signed up on the new website. We’re getting a lot of positive feedback.”

The project’s complexity employed the dedicated work of multiple teams. “They’ve put their blood, sweat, and tears into this project. It’s been a very large undertaking,” Blomquist added.
